On May 4th, the team behind the Walk of HOPE invited everyone to light a candle as a sign of support, strength and solidarity with all those who have experienced mental health difficulties, their supporters and mental health workers.
The Walk of HOPE was set up by a group of mothers who had lost members of their families to suicide and they wanted to create a space to remember their loved ones and to ensure that services are there for people when they need them. Each year the Walk of HOPE raises vital funds for our work on getting 24/7 crisis mental health services across Ireland.
From everyone in Mental Health Reform, thank you to everyone who took time to show support, strength and solidarity with all those who have experienced mental health difficulties, their supporters and those working on the frontline. A special thanks for the Walk of HOPE team for organising!
