Timely, accurate suicide reporting is vital to saving lives. Delays and a high burden of proof currently limit Ireland’s ability to respond effectively. This Coalition Conversation will explore how real-time, lower-burden reporting could be embedded in the next Connecting for Life policy. Bringing together voices from law, health, lived experience, and international practice, the discussion will highlight the challenges, opportunities, and cultural shifts needed to ensure every life lost is counted and lessons are learned.
